And of course, we found a sign from Oregon, on the coast no less! In Watson Lake, Yukon! And in a bit of foreshadowing, unbeknownst to us and the entire world, there is a "Sarah Palin for Governor of Alaska" bumper sticker on the "Bob Kerry, Governor" sign. This picture was taken approximately 2 weeks before Sarah Palin was announced as the VP running mate with John McCain.

Heading for the Great River Divide on km post 1161 on the Alaska Highway in the Yukon. The Great River Divide is the diving line between two great watersheds: the Mackenzie River drainage basin that flows into the Beaufort Sea to the north, and the rivers that flow into the Bering Sea to the west via the Yukon River system.
