In Park City, Utah for the GIScience 2008 conference. Park City was the host of freestyle skiing, snowboarding, and bobsled/skeleton/luge events for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, and is also known as the host city for the annual Sundance Film Festival, the largest independent film festival in the U.S.

The plaza includes the official posters from all the prior winter Olympic games. My favorite games of the past were in Lillehammer, Norway in 1994...

...and of course the memorable games of 1980 where we witnessed the "miracle on ice" with our hockey team winning gold against all odds.
